I was in the audience of people who gathered to show citizen resistance to the idea of mandatory vaccination.

I find it interesting that you chose to print on page B7 of the Nov. 6 newspaper a picture of a woman who, along with most others in the room, was vehemently objecting to the partisan lines drawn in the legislative committee, and the steadfast resistance to giving the voters of Maine any clear message that they would not be forced to receive a vaccination that they, along with a clear majority in many polls across the nation, do not wish to receive.

The truly unflattering face of the whole day's activities, however, is the seemingly unwavering stance of the medical profession and the Democratic Party, both represented by Sen. Lisa Marrache, D-Waterville, a medical doctor, that we are somehow beholden to their much wiser opinions of what is good or not good for us health-wise.

In a separate e-mail that I received from the very capable organizer of the voter turnout, Cynthia Rosen, there was a link to a YouTube presentation of one of the more nationally well-known medical doctors in the alternative medicine camp, Dr. Joseph Mercola.

His presentation, zeroing in on the recent declaration of national emergency by President Barack Obama (when there is no such thing) warrants the viewing of every citizen concerned with knowing the facts behind this whole controversy. www.youtube.com/ watch?v=qkzzbgu4-tY&feature=player_imbedded
