Gen. Stanley McChrystal asked for 40,000 more troops. He should have them; and yet, Obama risks losing his peace prize should he allow 40,000 more troops.
During the war, yup I said war in Vietnam, wing commanders were told what to target in Hanoi by the politicians.
Some leaders in the fighter/bomber wings didn't comply and some of the oil reserves in Hanoi went up in smoke. I saw the films when the camera birds came back from that mission. Yay!
Don't hamstring the commanders who lead our soldiers to fight the wars. Allow the commanders to have the men and equipment to fight and finish this war. This country has the military might to get this job done. It happened once before, didn't it?
