Since lung cancer kills more people than breast, prostate, colon, liver, kidney and melanoma cancers combined, we all know those who have been affected by this deadly disease.
Lung cancer, however, seems to be stigmatized, misunderstood, ignored and, worse, underfunded.
An average of 437 people die in America every day from lung cancer. It kills twice as many women as breast cancer, and three times as many men as prostate cancer. Early detection and better treatment are needed.
