Wendy Springborn mentioned in her letter of Friday, Nov. 14 that homeowners might be concerned about property values on Central Street in Hallowell. I think it is rare that a subdivision can be an asset to the built environment, and I believe subdivisions can even have a negative affect on property values. Maine's open spaces are a resource to be protected.
