The information that was given to the Augusta fire and police departments was that there had been an apparent explosion within the building.
Within approximately five minutes, the Augusta Water District, city of Augusta rescue team, Augusta police, the fire chief along with numerous firetrucks were on site and ready to assist in any way they could.
These extremely professional people do this type of thing on a daily basis with little, if any, recognition.
As the exalted ruler of Lodge 964, I wish to thank each and every one of you for your extreme dedication and service to our community. During these troubling times, we are blessed to have such "unsung heroes" protecting our community around the clock.
