Vote for Collins to protect the safety of America

I'm a Republican because after Sept. 11, 2001, I want to make sure our country is safe from those who seek to do us harm.

Sen. Susan Collins, for example, has authored significant pieces of legislation that have been signed into law, making our nation stronger. The net result has been the creation of the Department of Homeland Security, important port security legislation, and significant security improvements at our chemical facilities.

She has been able to do this because she is smart and dedicated. She also can look beyond party labels to work with all those -- from both parties -- who share her vision and want to make this nation safe from terrorists.

As a member of the Armed Services Committee, she has won big gains for America's Navy resulting in defense jobs at Bath and more ships at sea to protect our country.

Thanks to Sen. Collins for making me proud to be a Republican.

Whats really "tresonous" (sp) is that in this world, people like Cecil and others on the left continue to advocate the defeat of their own country's military and call it patriotism.report abuse

The Republicans have made our country a more desirable target and their hysteria led fake war has inspired thousands to kill us. Vote for someone who really has our protection in mind instead of profits and violent overthrows. Collins has marched in line downhill with Bush from day one and quite frankly she has made America more of a target from other countries and its citizenry a target from its own government via the tresonous patriot act.report abuse
