Indeed, the staunch advocate of laissez-aller bipartisanship is now ready to compromise the traditions and values of this great nation. Of course, this should come of no surprise. Collins (genus and species Poseuse republicanus) has habitually flouted the will of people in order to manipulate voter demographics to prolong her D.C. sinecure. This time, she's advocating "special rights" for homosexuals, while deftly stroking the libertine-without-borders wine and cheese crowd who champion la cause célèbre.
It's high time that the rogue meanderings of politicians like Collins et al. are held in check by the unvoiced majority whose faith and trust have been repeatedly violated. The senator's errant position on the issue of "special rights" is indefensible and begs immediate attention.
Letters, e-mails and phone calls expressing outrage -- demanding that she reconsider the consequences of her actions on this matter -- are in order. Rejecting mediocrity and error will go a long way towards restoring the democratic process back to the majority. If we are persistent and unfailing, the voice of the people will once again resound with dignity and honor in the highest offices of this country and our children's future will know the promise that freedom and duty ensure.
