Is editor willing to accept wind farm off Maine coast?

The editorial "We need wind power to fight global warming" seems to support the controversial Cape Wind project proposed for Nantucket Sound down here in Massachusetts. The editorial states: "We understand the feelings of those who lament the loss of a beautiful view, the potential damage to wildlife species and the industrialization of a largely untouched landscape. But not developing wind power comes at an even higher price." Well, perhaps.

If this is the genuine sentiment of the editor we imagine the construction of a similar industrial wind farm off the coast of Maine, say in Kennebunkport, would be fully supported. That kind of sacrifice is surely admirable and we here in Massachusetts would gladly pass the Cape Wind project along to you.
