SOUTH CHINA -- Ryan Hall's first-half goal pulled Erskine into a 1-1 tie against Brunswick and the teams stayed that way through two overtime periods Saturday in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A game.
The Dragons took a 1-0 lead on Bram Garrett's free kick before Hall tied the game with a shot from 12 yards out. Brian Potter made three saves in goal for Erskine (6-2-3) while Pete Morrell made two for Brunswick (9-1-1).
Kents Hill 5, CVA 0: Arturo Ampudia and Nico Sarcher each scored a goal and added an assist lead the Huskies to the MAISAD win against Carrabassett Valley Academy in Kingfield.
Miles Carey-Snow and Ethan Ford added a goal for the Huskies while Ren Yokei contributed an assist. Hank Poulin made 13 saves for CVA (1-4-0) while Seth Musich stopped three shots for Kents Hill (6-2-0).
Girls soccer
Brunswick 5, Erskine 0: Eliza Halam and Alyson Walton both had two goals as the Dragons beat the Eagles in a KVAC A game in South China.
Christina Damon added a goal, while Hilary Champagne had two assists for Brunswick (11-0-0). Lydia Caputi had four saves for the Dragons.
Jessica Souther had 16 saves for Erskine (1-8-2).
Bangor 7, Skowhegan 1: Eliza Estabrook had three goals as the Rams beat the Indians in a KVAC A game in Skowhegan.
Ashley Robinson, Marissa Grandchamp, Annie McKay and Megan Doucette also scored for Bangor (9-1-1).
Adrienne Davis scored and Sam Gray made 20 saves for Skowhegan (0-11-0).
Field hockey
Hall-Dale 3, Boothbay 0: Colby Houdlette scored two goals and added an assist to lead the Bulldogs to the Mountain Valley Conference win in Farmingdale.
Ally Morran added a goal the winners. Kayla Barton made nine saves in goal for Hall-Dale (5-8-1) while Madison McCarthy made five for Boothbay (2-12-0).
Erskine 1, Oak Hill 0: Cora Pomerleau scored off a pass from Meg Kothman in the first half to lift the Eagles to the KVAC Class B win in South China. Tabitha Plourde made 11 saves in goals for Erskine (2-12-0) while Lauren Hall had 18 for oak Hill (2-12-0).
Bangor 1, Lawrence 0: Brianna Tocci's unassisted goal in the first half stood as the only goal of the game, giving the Rams the KVAC win in Bangor.
Melissa Mower made 11 saves for Bangor (7-7-0). Emily Lambert had three stops for Lawrence (5-7-2).
Waterville 1, Winslow 0: Renee Roberts scored an unassisted goal in the first half to lift the Panthers to the KVAC win in Waterville (8-6-0). Sadie Dixon made three saves for the shutout.
