Amanda Findlay scored with an assist from Lindsay Cochran and Hannah Clough scored from Isabel Smith to give Maranacook (7-2-2) a 2-0 lead in the first. Annah Kimball and Katie Turmelle both scored in the second as Gardiner (6-1-4) rallied to tie it. The teams then played two scoreless overtime periods.
Kristina Kelly had 14 saves for Maranacook, while Jen Day had 12 saves for Gardiner.
Cross country
Festival of Champions: Abby Mace of Maranacook and Kelton Cullenberg of Mt. Blue turned in strong performances at the annual Festival of Champions 5-kilometer race in Belfast.
Mace and Cullenberg each finished second. Mace, a sophomore, finished with a time of 18 minutes, 36.4 seconds, about two seconds behind winner Emily Durgin of Cheverus.
Cullenberg finished in 15:44 to finish second behind Will Geoghegan of Brunswick (15:33).
The Cheverus girls had three of the top four runners and four of the top nine to easily win the event with 79 points. John Bapst was second with 174. Melody Lam finished eighth for Mt. Blue, which finished fifth with 207 points.
The Scarborough boys won the event with 182 points. Luke Fontaine of Cony finished 18th.
Kents Hill 2, Hebron 1: The Huskies scored twice in the second half to earn a come-from-behind victory over the Lumberjacks in a Maine Association of Independent Schools' Athletic Directors game in Hebron.
Hebron (3-1-0) took a 1-0 lead with 36 minutes left in the second half on a goal by Vladyslav Gavrik. Kents HIll (5-1-0) tied it on a goal by Ethan Ford, with an assist from Arturo Ampudia four minutes later. Nico Sarcher scored the game-winner with an assist from Chikra Matsuzaki with 4:57 left.
Jake Cockrell had three saves for Kents Hill, while Jeff Bowen had nine saves for Hebron.
