Lincoln 2, Gardiner 1: Brandon Reilly and Ben McLean combined to pitch a one-hitter as the Eagles handed the Tigers their first loss of the season, in Newcastle.
Reilly also had two singles for Lincoln (4-2). Donnie Cray took the loss for Gardiner (5-1).
Monmouth 12, Boothbay 2, 6 innings: Ronnie Hobson had a double, a single and two RBIs, while Eric Murphy had a triple a single and two RBIs as the Mustangs cruised to an MVC win in Monmouth.
Erik Smith added two doubles, a single and two RBIs and Parker Ferland had three singles and an RBI for Monmouth (3-3).
Boothbay falls to 0-6.
Lewiston 9, Messalonskee 5: Mike Fontaine hit a pair of home runs to lead the Blue Devils past the Eagles in Oakland. Fontaine hit a two-run homer in the first inning, and added a solo shot in the sixth. Matt Stuart hit a two-run triple for Messalonskee (3-5).
Joe Sullivan picked up the win for Lewiston (4-4).
Medomak 10, Erskine 0: Erskine committed eight errors in dropping a five-inning decision to the Panthers in Waldoboro. Dale Winchenbach went the distance for the pitching win and led the offense with a double and single. Both teams are 4-2.
Brewer 3, Cony 2: Caleb Smith’s sacrifice fly gave the host Witches the lead in the bottom of the sixth inning and they held on for the KVAC Class A win.
The Rams scored twice in the fifth on Ray Cotnoir’s double and Taylor Boutin’s single.. Greg Higgins went the distance for the win, striking out six, while Cony sophomore Jake Beland fanned eight and walked one in taking the loss.
Brewer is 7-0, Cony is 5-3.
Kents Hill 9, Hebron 6: Matt Locke and Roger Perez each drove home two runs in Kents Hill’s five-run seventh inning to lead the Huskies (4-4) to the MAISAD win.
Pat McAleer pitched two innings of no-hit relief to pick up the win. For Hebron, Ron Dupere hit a three-run homer in the fifth.
