CHADBOURNE, TIGERS ROLL

GARDINER -- Hailey Chadbourne became Gardiner field hockey's all-time leader in assists with 18 minutes, 34 seconds left in the first half of the Tigers' 11-0 win against Lewiston in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A game Wednesday.

Chadbourne, who will play at Iowa next season, assisted Ashley Work on the goal to give Gardiner (2-0-0) a 3-0 lead. She surpassed the mark of 34 assists set by Lynsey Seymour in 2005. Chadbourne is also the Tigers' career leader in total points with 121.

Chadbourne finished with three goals for Gardiner, which scored five times on penalty corners. Work also had three goals for the Tigers, who led 4-0 at halftime.

Becca Paradee added two goals, while Ashley Work, Marissa Lawrence, Jillian Philbrick and Katie Schide each had one.

Oak Hill 2, Rockland 1: Kayla Clark scored both Raiders goals in the second half to beat the Tigers in KVAC B play in Rockland.

Hannah Rancourt assisted on Clark's first goal, before Clark later scored on the penalty stroke. Kayla Hodgkins added nine saves for Oak Hill (1-1).

Mckyla Follett also finished with nine saves for Rockland (0-2).

Messalonskee 2, Edward Little 1: The Eagles led 2-0 at halftime and held on for the victory against the Red Eddies in Oakland.

Hannah Thornberg and Lauren Hachey each scored in the first half for Messalonskee (2-0). Erin Busque assisted on Thornberg's goal. Mickee McCafferty made two saves for the Eagles.

Sara Black scored in the second half for Edward Little (0-2).

Jay 2, Winthrop 1: Gina Nemi scored a goal and assisted on the game-winner to lead the Tigers to the MVC win in Jay.

Nemi scored with 10 seconds left in the first half and then passed to Betsy Gemelli with 5:30 remaining for the winning goal. Sierra Loon made five saves for Jay (2-0-0).

Nikki Scott scored off an assist from Kayla Kaiser for Winthrop (1-1-0). Katie Michelson and Emily Vickerson combined to make 12 saves.

Georges Valley 3, Hall-Dale 2: Adriana Lombardo scored two goals, the last with 23 minutes to play to put Georges Valley up for good, sinking Hall-Dale in MVC play in Farmingdale.

Jess Woods scored one goal for Hall-Dale (1-1-0) and assisted on the other, by Brittney Veilleux. The Bulldogs dominated corners 11-2 and shots on goal.

Clara Smalley made 16 saves for Georges Valley (1-1-0).
