OXFORD -- Tim Brackett earned his first win at Oxford Plains Speedway since 2004 when he held off a late charge from Travis Adams to take first place in the 40-lap Oxford Networks Late Model main event Saturday night.
Adams made a great charge over the final 10 laps to finish second, while Tommy Ricker took third for his best finish of the season.
Tommy Tompkins and Steve Barker also took the checkered flag for the first time this season.
Tompkins won the 30-lap Allen's Coffee Flavored Brandy Strictly Stock race, with Skip Tripp finishing second.
Barker was tops in the Allen's Mini Stock, finishing ahead of Calvin Rose, Jr., and third-place finisher Justin Karkos, who had won three of his previous four races.
Other winners Saturday were Ryan Farrar in the Call of the Wild RV Center Sport Truck race for the third time in a row, and Kyle Hewins in the Macdonald Motors Runnin' Rebel 20-lap race.
