Portland has won three straight, after losing the season opener 5-4.
Portland scored two runs in the first inning and three in the eighth to secure the win. Jeff Corsaletti and John Otness knocked in two runs apiece.
Johnson scattered three hits, walked three and struck out four. Mike James went 1 1/3 scoreless innings and Jose Vaquedano pitched a perfect ninth.
