PORTLAND -- Adrian Martin earned his first Double A win, tossing six scoreless innings as the New Hampshire Fisher Cats beat the Portland Sea Dogs 4-2 Saturday at Hadlock Field.
Martin's only jam came in the third inning on consecutive singles by second baseman Ryan Khoury and rightfielder Reid Engel. Martin then struck out Iggy Suarez and got Josh Reddick to ground into a 4-6-3 double play to end the inning.
Martin allowed three hits, walked one and struck out four.
Blake Maxwell took the loss for Portland, allowing four runs in the fourth inning. Maxwell went five innings, allowing six hits, while walking none and striking out two.
Nick Gorneault hit a solo home run and Brian Jeroloman hit a three-run homer for New Hampshire (40-48).
Lars Anderson doubled and scored in the seventh for Portland (42-45).
