Police warn of rashof car burglaries
State police continue to look for guns, tools and other items stolen during a string of car burglaries late last month in Manchester and Readfield.
Maine Department of Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland said in a news release that two guns, tools and personal belongings were taken from unlocked vehicles in late October.
The items were taken from unlocked cars and trucks parked along Kennison Street and Lindenbrooke Park in Manchester, and Plains Road in Readfield.
Trooper Scott Duff, who is investigating, urged drivers to lock their vehicles to avoid being easy targets.
