AUGUSTA -- Tom and LeeAnn Szelog, authors of "By a Maine River: A Year of Looking Closely," will speak Thursday at the Pine Tree State Arboretum.

The book documents in photos and writings the pair's experience of looking closely at their 70 acres of Maine woods through the passage of one full year.

The 6:30 p.m. program at the arboretum off Hospital Street is free, co-sponsored by the Natural Resources Council of Maine.
