AUGUSTA -- The police officer injured while making an arrest Friday on Ridge Road was identified Monday as Eric Lloyd.

City Manager William Bridgeo said Lloyd suffered a broken finger while arresting Robert Lacasse, 36, of Augusta at Lacasse's home on Ridge Road.

Lacasse was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and assault on an officer.

Bail was set at $500 cash on the assault charge when Lacasse made an appearance Monday. Police officials previously had declined to name Lloyd.
