City Manager William Bridgeo said Lloyd suffered a broken finger while arresting Robert Lacasse, 36, of Augusta at Lacasse's home on Ridge Road.
Lacasse was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and assault on an officer.
Bail was set at $500 cash on the assault charge when Lacasse made an appearance Monday. Police officials previously had declined to name Lloyd.

8:28 a.m., there was a fire alarm at the Augusta Civic Center on Community Drive.

10:13 a.m., there was an accident on State Street.
11:28 a.m., a person was reported missing from Sewall Street.
11:30 a.m., there was a disturbance on Green Street.

12:10 p.m., Zachary Babb, 26, of Winslow was arrested on a warrant at the Kennebec County jail on State Street.
