CHINA -- Planning Board members will consider requests to build a fire station, open a new business and to harvest timber at a meeting Tuesday, which takes place at 7 p.m. at the town office.
The Weeks Mills Volunteer Fire Department has filed an application to build a new, 40-by-60-foot fire station at 778 Dirigo Road. Caroline Rideout, of Rideout's Towing and Auto Recovery, has filed an application for a business at 413 Lakeview Drive. And Peter Joliffe, of Robbins Lumber Company, filed a timber harvesting application for a Waterville Road property.
Board members are also scheduled to continue discussing a proposed nudity ordinance.
Readfield selectmen
to discuss contracts
READFIELD -- Selectmen will discuss contracts with neighboring Manchester to combine assessing services, provide snowplowing and rent the town's old fire station to store public works equipment at a meeting Monday.
The meeting takes place at 7 p.m. at the Readfield town office.
Town manager's
salary on agenda
WAYNE -- Selectmen will discuss Town Manager Amy Bernard's contract at a meeting Tuesday.
They'll also formally accept a $500 grant from Maine Initiatives awarded to the Wayne Farmers Market, which will open for the summer on July 5.
The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at Wayne Elementary School.
