Newly elected RSU 2 member Sarah McNaughton, of Hallowell, attended Wednesday night's school board meeting.
She was joined by Pamela MacDonald, who was elected Tuesday to serve a six-month term on the Hall-Dale school board before the RSU 2 board takes over July 1, 2009.
Dawn Gallagher was elected as Hallowell's other representative on the RSU 2 board.
In Farmingdale, Linda Leet and Jon Lambert -- both current members of the MSAD 16 Board of Directors -- were elected to represent their community on the consolidated school board next year.
Donald Siviski, Hall-Dale's superintendent, said there is a tentative meeting planned for the new 12-member RSU 2 board Dec. 9 at Hall-Dale Elementary School, pending the state's authorization.
In other business:
* School board members met three international exchange students currently attending Hall-Dale High School. The students each presented a Powerpoint presentation to the school board of their native homelands, families and schools they attend back home.
The students are Carina Franz, from Germany, Ka Ching (Howard) Chau from Hong Kong, and Nasser Alsaadoon, from Saudi Arabia.
* School Board member Gary Getchell presented his monthly report from Dresden's schools, which will join Hall-Dale in the new consolidated unit next year. Students recently hosted their grandparents at the school for a luncheon, with 90 guests in attendance, Getchell said.
Next up for the children is a planetarium exhibit set up at the school.
