Members of the Hall-Dale school board will hold their first meeting of the school year tonight, discussing first-day-of-school reports with district principals and listening to updates from the Dresden and Chelsea school committees.
The highlight tonight will be reports from district principals on the beginning of the school year, School Administrative District 16 Superintendent Donald Siviski said.
The first day of school for students in Farmingdale and Hallowell was Tuesday, Siviski said.
Dresden is one of three additional towns -- along with Monmouth and Richmond -- that will merge with Hall-Dale schools next school year.
Chelsea students also have the option of attending school within the district, but Chelsea schools will remain a part of School Union 132, which includes Jefferson and Whitefield, after consolidation.
