The transfer station is open as usual, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
On Monday, the Town Office and transfer station will be closed. The selectmen's meeting is postponed to Tuesday, preceded by a 6:30 p.m. public session in the Town Office on new property valuations and the proposed 2008-09 tax rate.
Contra dancecelebrates berries
VASSALBORO -- The East Vassalboro Grange will host a Blueberry Buckle Contra Dance tonight with Pam Green and Paul Baines, with calling by Richard Green.
The Grange is on Route 32, in East Vassalboro. The event begins at 6:30 p.m. The cost is $7 for adults or $18 for a family of four. For details, call 923-4216.
