CHINA — The School Union 52 board meets at 6 p.m. Tuesday [Mar 4] in the China Middle School multi-purpose room to talk about options for forming a regional school unit.
The Union 52 towns, China, Vassalboro and Winslow, have been planning a large unit with Waterville and School Administrative District 47 (Belgrade, Oaland, Rome and Sidney).
However, Waterville officials recently expressed their intent not to join.
Interested residents are welcome to listen to the discussion of what China School Committee Chairman Charles Clark calls the most important issue in 40 years for the Town of China and its children's education.
