LITCHFIELD -- The Board of Selectmen appointed a number of residents to three-year terms on the following boards and committees:

* Conservation Commission: Jon Phillips;

* Historical Preservation Commission: Earl Lamoreau and George Rogers;

* New Mills Dam Committee: David A. Smith Sr.;

* Planning Board: Terry Averill;

* Recreation Committee: Janet Caskin and Vicki Russell;

* Smithfield Plantation Board of Trustees: Betty Jo Wade; and

* Woodbury Pond Dam Advisory Committee: Judy Bourget.
