CHINA -- Selectmen have a varied agenda for their meeting at 7 p.m. Monday in the town office's meeting room.

Business items include plans for an informational forum on the ongoing property revaluation, which will affect 2008 tax bills; discussion of safety concerns at the intersection of Causeway and Main streets and Neck Road in China Village; consideration of snowplow contractors' request for a higher hourly pay rate to cover higher fuel prices; and board member Neil Farrington's proposal to reward recyclers by issuing tokens redeemable to cover costs of disposing of items for which fees are charged.

Selectmen will also discuss the annual dog warrant. Once selectmen sign the dog warrant, the late fee for each unlicensed dog goes up to $25 immediately.

The animal control officer is authorized to begin court proceedings if necessary.

Town Manager Daniel L'Heureux's report will include an update and recommendation on E-911 dispatching services and discussion of appointments to the Board of Assessment Review that voters created in November.
