The program also includes a series of workshops aimed at young school-age artists, most of which charge a separate fee, said Deborah Fahy, executive director of the Kennebec Valley Art Association.
"In celebration of Youth Art Month, the Kennebec Valley Art Association will once again host a month-long exhibit of children's art in the professional setting of the Harlow Gallery," Fahy said.
"Art teachers from each participating school submitted art for the exhibition from among their students' best work. The opening reception on Friday, March 2, is free and open to the public. Families with children and art teachers are especially welcome."
The "Young at Art" program has been underwritten for the third year with a grant from the Oak Grove School Foundation, Fahy said.
