The parade will start at 10 a.m. at the China Village Fire Station. Parade Marshal is Allen Holmes, Member of Washburn Brann Ward American Legion Post No.195.
He is assisted by Mary Lockhart, a member of the legion’s Auxiliary Unit 195.
Parade particpiants include the legion and auxiliary; music and taps under the Leadership of Samuel Maroon; the auxiliary’s Miss Poppy 2008 Gwen Marie Lockhart, Jr. escorted by Sage Hapgood; Belanger
Boy Scout Troop 479, under the Leadership of Scout Master Scott Adams;Girl Scouts, Brownies and Youth League; fire and rescue from China Village & Albion; Kennebec County Sheriff's Department; and China police Officer James Lane.
Anyone wanting to be in the parade is asked to meet at the fire station at 9:45 a.m.
Palermo remembrance at 9 a.m.
The American Legion Post 163 will host a Memorial Day remembrance ceremony at 9 a.m. Monday at Veterans Park on Turner Ridge. Commander Richard Bourassa will conduct the ceremony.
Windsor’s ceremony to begin at 9:30 a.m.
WINDSOR — The town will observe Memorial Day at the flag pole in the cemetery near the Windsor Memorial Baptist Church, at the corner of Reed and Ridge roads, starting at 9:30 a.m. Monday.
