Although this was a very informative article and pleasantly written, I keep thinking of that infamous word "Rosebud" for some reason.

Perhaps one of the primary reasons that Robert Maheu found Maine to be so enchanting is because he was in a position where he could hop on a private jet and leave Maine anytime he got sick and tired of the local politics.

People who are financially well off in life seem to hold a different perspective on things then those who are busy busting their hump trying to hang on to that lower run of the ladder of life. It's easier to keep your ideals and humor about an area when you don't live there all the time and you know that your escape is just a phone call away.report abuse
