"...and stop assuming the worse about everything you read."

No need to assume. I know the truth. And the truth is, David may be treated better at the robinsons than before, but it ain't great! He is a second-class family member. Again, no wonder he ran away.report abuse

I am personally offended by the things people have written on this article. The woman who claims to "know this family" is obviously too busy worrying about the affairs of others, and less concerned about being a respectable human being. The Robinsons are extremely friendly people, who are always willing to lend a hand to ANYONE.
I go to school with David, and have taken the time to try to get to know him, unlike many of his peers. I have seen his baby book that the DHHS made for him, as well as heard words straight from his mouth about the things he went through before living with the Robinsons, and trust me his life didn't start out great. He has faced many obstacles in his 16 years, none of which are the result of the parenting he has received while living with his adoptive family. Honestly, the woman who took David in when he was in foster care (his adoptive grandmother) has taken in many children who also needed help, and not a single one of those children was used for money.
Have a little more respect for the people who's lives are being displayed publicly. There is no need to judge this family. You wouldn't think anything of this article if it were written about a child who you knew had behavioral issues. Have a little faith in humanity and stop assuming the worse about everything you read.report abuse

Why do people have to use these boards to be critical of one another over silly things like spelling? We all know what Ginger meant.report abuse

To "carla123 of China, ME." There are no "free" services. It's us working stiffs that have to pay for them, through taxation. Make the parents pay for any services. After all, the kid is THEIR responsibility, not mine.

To "Ginger of Augusta, ME." Why would "statics" frighten me? I get static every time I walk barefoot on the rug and then touch a doorknob.report abuse
