Thank god for the "branding committee" and the "visioning session". What a joke. I wonder how much the citizens of Augusta will end up footing for all of this garbage. If I didn't live in a bedroom community I'd be having and aneurysm right now. You can put signs every fifty feet up Western Avenue, it doesn't matter if the city and the state don't start backing up small business. What happened to Delia's? How's Lamey Wellehan doing? How about Spellbound? Anybody remember 7th Inning Stretch?

I think the Bread of Life Kitchen and the Colonial Theater say it all. Has been business and free handouts. Looks like the capitol represents Maine pretty well to me. Lets go vote for some more Democrats. Maybe I can volunteer to pay additional taxes on anything that isn't an absolute necessity. Why am I working again?? Maybe I could be the first to register my lawn mower with the state. It's coming, I might as well get used to it.report abuse

Why do you live here? I mean, if it sucks so bad, why not just move away? What's stopping you?report abuse

Putter you need to lighten up a bit and worry about your wonderful community down there in Richmond...some of the morons like me are paying taxes and living in Augusta and dealing with its issues..and the mentally ill population is very present here in Augusta. So before you go run your mouth about morons you should double check your zip code because Richmond is not Augustareport abuse
