I am totally appalled by the unprofessionalism of our Board of Selectmen. They need to stop sweeping real issues under the rug and thinking that the Chief is wonderful. They will not be turning a blind eye when it is their butts in hot water due to "mistakes by the Chief".report abuse

It seems the current Board of Selectmen only wish to revist old issues about the police and not address current issues. The Board who back then made the last Chief beg for funding now freely gives like no tomorrow. Back then they often said "if it can't be done in budget NO. Hence the Maine Cheif's check found that items not current were also items not funded or approved by the Board, and too much micro-management of the Department. Today's new and "improved" department is not better. The Chief is a huge liability to the Town, his attitude and demeanor is offensive to most persons he contacts. He needs to move on.report abuse

It's not the budget; it's the chief of police and the arrogant attitude he permeates throughout the department.

Get rid of the chief and the budget will pass!!report abuse
