Economic stimulus funds should be allocated for green housing units - simple and efficient construction is doable, providing jobs for the many many who are out of work and producing a product that will be well used for many years. The hope of a solution in 20 years is too long to wait, advocate now for stimulus money to be directed to where the need is so evident, right now.
Call Senators Snowe and Collins and ask why there isn't any stimulus money for housing for those who served.report abuse

This homeless plan is all well and good, but for the ones serving now, be prepared to be kicked out to the curb by our grateful Congress and VA unless you can document proof that you lost your leg or arm in combat or any other internal problems. Alcoholics and drug addicts are exempt. The VA stumbles over themselves holding the doors open for that Class. Do not buy any camping gear, autos, fishing or hunting equipment or God forbid a home or any thing that the VA can call an asset. This includes anything your spouse has also so divorce her before applying for a claim. You have too much valuables to need VA! I failed to see this on all of my re-enlistment papers everytime I re-signed and thus lost my VA benefits. I still enjoyed most of my 20 years in.report abuse
