Dear Comment writers--The CDL class is open to everyone. This class will provide jobs for those who are interested in getting back to work. The inmates at CMPRC pay for the class themselves. No one is getting a "Free Ride" The word subsidized was incorrectly used. A payment plan can and is set up for individuals to take the course. The class is the cheapest around. The Department of Labor has retraining money for individuals to take the CDL class. If you want to get retraining, check out your career center and/or adult education programs.report abuse

I agree that certain "offenders" could use a 2nd chance.

But what of the hard working, never been in trouble with the law, Mainer who needs re-training etc???

Shouldnt tax dollars get put to use for those people too???

Too many people are out there with their hands out looking for the freebies.

My ex daughter in law is one of them.
5 kids and no job.

My stepson pays big $$ in support yet she still taps the state for aid.
Double dipping and making out like a bandit.

This kind of stuff has to stop.

Nobody is giving me a handout, I work to pay my taxes, heat my house, gas for my vehicles, etc.

When is the free ride for many of these loafers going to end????report abuse
