CommenCents, You have to be the biggest bleeding heart liberal pinhead on the whole KJ blog roster. These pirates, no matter what age, got what was coming to them. Also, don't forget that 18 year olds in Somalia are not like 18 year olds from here. They are brought up on this stuff. That's a sad fact.
I bet if someone took your kid hostage it would be a different story.report abuse

Put armed guards with plenty of firepower on every American cargo ship. I bet their are many American servicemen and servicewomen returning from the Middle East who would not mind this type of a job. Not only is the cargo and the ship too valuable to be highjacked, but much more importantly, if my son or daughter or your son or daughter were merchant marines on one of these cargo ships, wouldn't the protection of their lives certainly be worth the cost of armed guards.report abuse
