In the field of human services it is a known fact that those who have been alcoholics for example, make the most credible substance abuse counselors because they have been there. You can criticise Leslie for her four abortions but multiple abortions are not uncommon for those in the age group that she was in when she had them.
She speaks from the position of one who has been there. You can argue your opinion about abortion but you can't argue that she doesn't know what she is talking about.
I had one abortion and after a number of years of denial I came to fully grieve the child whom I denied life to. I had many reasons at the time that attempted to justify the choice. Today I know that the reasons weren't worth the price that child and I paid.
Yes I too regret the abortion I had.
Thank you Leslie for having the courage to speak out publicly and to also communicate about the hope of forgiveness that you have experienced.report abuse

Thank you Leslie for your courage and willingness to help other women not make the same mistakes you did.

When did we all become wild animals with no control over our desires? The truth is that contraceptives do NOT decrease teen pregnancys. STDs and teen pregnancy has increased sinced the availability of birth control. Do some research on teen pregnancy before the 60's and teen pregnancy since the distribution of the pill. It has increased. Family Plannings own website states that teen pregnancy is "creeping up." To say abstinence does not work is ridiculous. What percentage of girls heading into MFPA for an abortion would you guess were using some form of birth control when they conceived their child? My guess would be close to 100%. Birth control fails and leaves girls with a false security leading to abortion when it does fail. Abstinence DOES work. What percentage of teens practicing abstinence need abortion "services"? My guess would be close to 0% (note the sarcasm). Abstinence is the ONLY way to avoid STDs and unwanted pregnancies. Everything else only reduces the risk while promoting an indulgent lifestyle, leading to an increase of STDs and unplanned pregnancy.

Wake up people, you are being sold a bill of goods and it is costing you your children. We are not animals with no self control. As a 32 y/o healthy male, I can attest that self control is possible. Having self control, not folding to every desire is not going to kill anyone. Abortion does.report abuse

Guess what Bubba, I'va adopted two children too. And they have been to 40 days for life because they know something bad happens to babies over there. Abortion will end simply because good christens are having and adopting more kids than pro chioce people are having and we are teaching our children well.report abuse

Bubba:
I also have the wonderful blessing of helping to raise two wonderful boys that are not biologically mine. What a joy this has been. Thankfully, the biological mother ignored those that recommended abortion.report abuse
