"Those who voted for the boneheads who have no idea what they're doing in Augusta need to run for office and see how hard is is to run a "not so great" state like Maine."
It is safe to say that in 1950 there were more people working in the paper making industry or shoe industry than there were people working for the state.
Now the largest industry in the "great" state of Maine "is" the State of Maine. Industry? far from it...the state produces nothing but misery and in harsh economic times sucks the last drops of financial promise out of our lives and rewards it to those who have failed to become productive members of society.
Not just complaining here...I offer a solution, in the last election I convinced 10 people within my district to vote for those who are not tax and spend types. Unfortunately I was still in the minority. Now, if enough of the rest of you do the same in the next cycle we can start to improve things.report abuse
We must learn from mistakes made, and try to make the next "good times" last as long as they possibly can.
Also, I agree that people that do the most complaining should run for office and see just how hard it is to run this great state.report abuse
