Why not set some of these fishing company's up so they are breeding fish for restocking instead of always draining. Take it out of the hands of state run idiots. They have proven to not know how to get it done.report abuse

WORKING up and down fish passage on all dams on Maine rivers would go a long way to solve the fish crisis. Try to get these politicians to go for that is just about hopeless. Democrats and republicans are all in the pockets of these out of state and multinational corporations who own the dams.
I do not believe the fishing people realize a healthy anadramous fishery is a keystone to a healthy ocean fishery or they would be out in force to support it.report abuse

So Snowe and the fishing and related industries would have unlimited fishing until the groundfish population completely collapses and everybody is permanently out of work? Brilliant!report abuse
