just how numb can the "education" commissioner and her "croonies" be?? using "stimul-I" cash to keep the "status-quo" is just plain "moronic"!!not going through with planned "cut-backs" and "firings" is "moronic"!! what are "they" gonna do for "their" next budget cycle??, pray for the "chosen one" to rain more of "our cash" down upon them?? "their" plan will just make it more difficult down the road!! "they" really need to "wake-up"!! Just proves "there is a fine line between genius and insanity"!! NUFF SAID!!!!report abuse

Whatever the schools get in stimulus money should automatically be deducted against the local share to reduce property taxes!report abuse

Stimulus funds are going to become permanent. Everyone with half a brain knows that. Instead of using the funds to scale back in an orderly way the spending just continues with the hope that there will always be a bailout around the next corner. And with Obama there probably will. Except that the standard of living in this country will continue to plummet as more and more goes to taxes and free stuff that the future generation must pay. Because we are bailing out mortgages, your kids will live in a public housing project rather than a house. There is no free lunch, although no one ever thought that the Democrats understood that. Pay now or pay later. The current crisis is a result of those who chose to pay later. So we are pouring good money after bad to pay even more later. The bubble will burst somewhere. It may be this year.report abuse
