How absolutly absurd. The government has cut aid to schools and this guy wants to add to the curriculum. And now we are going to be punished monetarily for wanting not wanting to consolidate with other schools. Why don't these legislators stop wasting Maine taxpayers money with these bills and craziness? Rates right up there with the paper toilet seat covers. They ask all of us to cut back on education costs in cluding personel and yet they have done nothing to halt their own spending! I say cut the size of the legislature!report abuse

Get this representative out of the State House. He should never have been elected in the first place and has proven he should not be re-elected.

Stop wasting time on these types of useless bills and start solving budget issues.report abuse

Such a waste. Most Franco Americans don't even teach their own kids Maine French history.
They already teach High School students Maine History, US History and World History. If the family believes the child needs a bit more focused information on whatever the parents should do it.
It may take a village to raise a child, but it needs to be the right village. A child who is forced to learn so much about someone else's heritage isn't going to use the information. Please start teaching our kids something that is going to help them. If they won't benefit from a traditional high School education with college to follow teach them a trade don't just pass them through thinking that McDonalds needs workers too.report abuse
