AmazedAgain,

Do you have any proof that any illegal aliens voted in Maine's elections? Thought not.
As SoS Dunlap points out all the hijackers on 911 were legal immigrants with all the appropriate documentation so Real ID would not have delayed or even stopped them.
So irresponsible comments like that made by R. Konig and jdtex must stem from unreasoning fear.
You can be free or secure not both. REAL ID crosses the line.report abuse

Let's be honest here. It doesn't take much effort or money to obtain a legitimate ID, and a Real ID discriminates against no race, sex, creed, income level, etc, etc, etc...

We just have to decide if we want open borders or a secure country. We can't have both.

Naive liberals think every immigrant is here to make an honest living and spread sunshine. Never mind that Central American gangs have infiltrated every major city in the U.S. They are certainly here in Texas; maybe they are already in Maine. They will be sometime.report abuse

Is this what you call change? I call it pure stupidity!

Why even issue driver's licenses if no one has to prove that they are a resident of Maine or a citizen of the US. I don't want illegal aliens on the road or the sky.

My rights are not infringed upon by having to prove I am a citizen and government is actually doing the one task that the constitution granted them...namely protecting us citizens.

The only ones who have to worry are the ones who don't belong here in the first place.

If these boneheads go ahead and waterdown real id I would expect that TSA nationwide not accept Maine licenses as suitable ID to hop on a jet.

What pile of sand did Sen. Damon have his head burried in when 9-11 happened and who votes for dopes like him?report abuse
