I think I have to agree regarding the war on drugs...it was lost long ago, and is a clear example of Einstein's Theory of Insanity: repeating the same behavior over and over again but hoping for a different result...doesn't mean we have to encourage or support addiction. In fact, some of the money saved could then be used to provide rehab services to the thousands of people who want and need it but don't have Mainecare or insurance. Less addiction = less crime.report abuse

Check out this website and read some information about the history of Hemp and the real reason why it is now illegal.

Also keep in mind that terms like "residents, citizen, taxpayer, person, etc." are euphemisms for men or women who are victims of the de facto government's extortion of credit schemes. It is another statutory office created by the de facto government's legislature for use in the de facto governments commission of deception, fraud, coercion, and terror to claim "jurisdiction" (so-called) over people who happen to be in a certain geographic territory. It's use is for purposes of alienating free people from their inalienable and unenumerated rights granted to them by their Creator.report abuse

Legalize and tax cannabis and you would have a budget surplus that would be the envy of the USA.
