None of the catch phrases make sense to me except for "Big Box Are Us." I agree, it is too late to change the image now. Augusta, although it has many historical and 'bright spots" around, has been damaged but all the stores. These retail outlets have brought low paying jobs, ruined the downtown, closed down family- owned businesses, and increased the crime rate. I had/have such a clear vision of what Augusta could've been if it had been developed correctly. What a mess Augusta is in.
Suggestion-go to any city/town in Vermont, along the river, and see what a charming place Augusta could've been. It wouldn't have been that hard to accomplish.report abuse
