This article is a perfect example why I read the KJ on line and don't waste my money purchasing this rag. Talk about bias! I've said it before, In a state where we value our trees so much, how can we waste so many trees on this newspaper!report abuse

If Hallowell wasn't nearby I don't know why I'd stay in Maine! A lot of liberals and conservatives alike love that town for the music and the restaurants. Once you are hooked there's no turning back!report abuse

The state predicted the extra revenues would be approximately 75 million dollars. 75 million equals to about $75 per Maine resident. For a family of four, it is about $300 per year. Oh, just a few pennies. I don't think so. Why doesn't the state better manage their money. God knows, they take enough of it from us. Being one of the top 5 taxed states in the country is something our liberal friends are proud of. They still haven't figured out that is why most of our better paying jobs have left the state.

Greg if you and your Hallowell followers want to contribute some extra $$$ to the state, go right ahead. Just leave the rest of us out of it.report abuse

Where is the “Conservative and Proud of It” story? Since Maine is overwhelmingly a liberal state, doing a story on what is actually the "majority" is hardly impressive. Woohoo—the KJ did a story on the MOST liberal segment of the population. Embracing diversity~I guess that means racial diversity, gender diversity, and sexual diversity~but not political diversity. Good ol' liberals—hypocrites to the end.report abuse
