it really does not matter what goods are baked as long as the community can help get this young man back up on his feet.report abuse

a simple glucometer reading or routine blood work may have helped in earlier interventions. I hope this boy is recovering well. Praysrs are with you.report abuse

My heart goes out to Hewins and I am praying for his recovery. This is another alert that we have to watch out for and it is a good thing that you published it for the benefit of all of us. Now that we know that diabetic ketoacidosis could masquerade as flu, we will know what to do when it happens to our families. I wonder if they checked the blood sugar when he first became ill because if not, then this may be a way to go when flu symptoms come along.

Ketoacidosis does terrible things to the body as Justin has discovered, however it is a simple thing to diagnose and the provider at the healthcare facility is looking at a huge lawsuit. I am just wondering though; is it right to raise money for a juvenile diabetic by selling sweet baked goods?report abuse
