I would like to see a listing of all the places that are offering a thanksgiving meal and phone numbers for contacting someone for rides, there are lots of places but if I needed a meal or food I would not know who to contact or where to go. I see that on this opinion page the article does list a few places

What I dont understand is why we have so many hungry people in a state that has so much food to offer.Fields of corn, sqaush, potatoes, tomatoes, onions, beets, carrots, etc.Woods full of Moose,Deer, turkey, etc.Oceans with fish, lobster, clams, scallops, etc. Not to mention beef critters, chickens, pigs, lamb, etc. It just doesnt make sense to me.We are poor but food is never an issue with the abundance of food provided naturally or grown right here.As a child I would often complain about what was being served at dinner. My mothers response was always the same.If your hungry enough you'll eat it.She was correct.Happy Thanksgiving!!report abuse
