Absolutely! Get the dang INSURANCE companies OUT of the mix! They provide NO health care!

Universal health CARE for ALL Americans, paid for through the income tax, is the ONLY sensible solution.report abuse

Anti Liberal I agree. However, are you saying what we have now is working? McCain is as bad as Obama with a plan that focuses on helping people by insurance rather than reducing the cost of health care. Beyond nationalizing heathcare (via insurance), nationalizing banks and the mortgage market with a national debt is insane.

Borrowing $450 billion + oer year, $10 trillion total leaves the country is such poor shape to deal with the current and a future crisis. Our government has maxed the mortgage and credit cards just to operate, leaving no reserve when real needs occur.

McCain has voted for budgets that include tax cuts for the wealthy and borrows from you, your children, your grandchildren etc etc. (future taxpayers) for all of his 26 years in office. Well except for the surpluses during the last three years of the Clinton Administration. Nationalized debt to give breaks to the wealthy is too liberal for me.report abuse

Why do both parties want to provide INSURANCE coverage. Both candidates have plans that provide insurance. People do not need insurance, they need health care. Since both candidates agree there should be some version of socialized health insurance, why not make it socialized medical care.

Provide the money to the doctors and hospitals so they charge less and thereby reduce the cost to the people. Giving the money to people so they can buy insurance means the insurance companies get a cut and the people get less benefit.

Its unfortunate, to get votes, McCain felt compelled to make up a plan (late in the game) that gives a credit to buy insurance rather than something that reduces cost. I thought he might break with the socialist ideas he keeps copying from Obama.report abuse

We need a completely changed system of health care in our country. Why do the insurance companies need to make so much? Why do the doctors need to make so much.I know auto techs that are smarter than most doctors that I know.Yet they make much, much less money. Its all b.s and most know this.Make an appointement with your gc, get a referal, make an appointement with them, meet with them for a consult just to make another appointement. And then wait for an appointement with someone else to discuss your "options".There are far to many people involved in just one medical transaction.Imagine if you were having car trouble and you had to go through all that. You need shocks for your car but are told you will have to wait until your whole front end needs to be replaced before you are covered.
Both of the canidates are completely useless in my eyes(which need glasses but arent covered but I could pay half for expensive surgery)We need to do a complete 360 in our country. To many people are making way to much money off this system for doing absolutely nothing. You dont see many farmers using single plows anymore in their fields because they have found new ways in which to get the job done better, faster and more cost effectively. Its time our Government follows suit and figure out there is more than one way to defeather a chicken!report abuse
