Unfortunately Smitty, Adults DON'T take responsibility for their actions. And in a society where suing someone can be done for anything, the government MUST legislate stupid behavior, because otherwise there would be even more people doing drugs, and consequently stupid things.

Get rid of people who rely on their government to take care of them (Welfare, Entitlements, Liberal Policies in general) and maybe, we would have a society where people could be allowed to make their own choices when it came to drugs... unfortunately these losers (drug users) also have children (that WE are paying for, these idiots are remarkably fertile) and they become victims in one way or another regardless of government intervention...report abuse

Prohibition of alcohol did not work. Prohibition of drugs is not going to work either. Nine out of the 12 people mentioned in this piece should not be prosecuted. In a truly free society, adults take responsibility for their own choices. Hurt someone else, damage someone else's property and it's another story---otherwise live with the consequences of your poor decisions and don't expect to be bailed out.report abuse

With drug stores springing up on the ends of every bridge and in every supermarket, it must be hard for the individual to compete in the market place. How many people were on prescription drugs before the drug companies could advertise on TV? How many people are on them now? It certainly pays to advertise. Ask your doctor if zip flap is right for you. Drugs, just another scourge in the destruction of society but there must be good money in selling them. Every body's doing it.report abuse
