I lived in Hartland for many years and it is not fair to blame the town manager for all the financial woes--town government is not run by one person alone. Although Hartland has some beautiful places it is also well known that many of the people who live there are low-income or disadvantaged. My children went to school there and I spent many hours helping out at the school and it was surely lacking in many ways. There was also not a lot of things to do in the town. Maybe things have changed since I lived there--which was almost 20 years ago. There were a lot of nice people there also. My point being is that when you have a town with people without a lot of money that just might be a contributing factor to the towns financial woes.report abuse
