Susan gives us the facts and Tom gives us the Democrat party line.

"In his personal remarks, Al-len said he, too, is familiar with northern Maine, having spent considerable time there both as a private citizen and as the state's 1st District representa-tive."

Seems to me that the first district is in southern Maine. I have no problem with him going up north as a private citizen, but "as the state's 1st District representa-tive"? Don't they have a capable representative, or is this another example of a fishing trip at taxpayer expense?report abuse

Once again no one will admit the real reason for the current market situation. Why won't any of these out of touch, Washington dinner circuit members look us in the eye and say:

" Yes folks NAFTA was a bad idea."

FOLLOW THE MONEY.

Start with Mexico, follow the money to China, then back to the market and you will find the house of cards being built that is now crashing down around us.

1st candidate to admit this and take responsibility gets my vote.

Oh wait. That will never happen.report abuse

There is no question here who should win. Allen keeps talking about tax breaks, that is all it is is TALK. With the mess this country is in,how does he think he will pull that off? If you think back, who started the mess with companys going over seas?Bush has messed up but i think that the congress is controled by the democrats. The people will never survive until they start thinking about what is best for the country and stop lining their pockets.I have voted all my life and it is for the person and not the party. I will always vote for collins and snowe because i believe that they try to do their best. All Allen can say about Collins is she is with the Bush administration and i pray she will be with the next one too.report abuse
