Please do not go to testing such as the way Florida has.I no one your man 2 years ago had good grades never failed a class and could not pass our FCAT.He did however make a very good effort to take his own life.A normal kid now screwed up perhaps for life. There is no need for more testing. It is a way to waste dollars. The SAT and ACT ARE ALREADY THERE USE THEM, the collage's do not look at our FCAT test. They look at and require the SAT,ACT.Also a new trend here,is there are some collage classes offered at highschool, but some are now droping out after thier Jr.year if they have the credits needed to get the diploma and taking the GED and starting thier first year in collage instead of finishing thier last year of H/school.I have a great nefew that has done this a 4.0 student with his dad's blessing. His dad is an F18 pilot and Capt.of his squad. And states if he had it to do it over for himself thats what he would do.I don't know,i remember Sr. year as good times with less pressure. But we in Florida have mixed feeling's on the extra testing.I think it causes harm and no good.Sometimes good intent can be evel!!And useless.report abuse
